Memphis police are investigating a fatal off-duty car crash in South Memphis that killed an MPD officer and a separate crash in Southeast Memphis that left one person injured, following a series of traffic incidents. Memphis-Shelby County Schools also filed a lawsuit against Tennessee over the state takeover of the district, arguing it violates constitutional rights.
