Wednesday. And the real danger isn't the snow. It's what comes next. In the next 24 hours. Here's what's going on up in the atmosphere. A low pressure system is shoving warm air overhead while cold air stays locked at the surface. That collision is a recipe for freezing rain. We've already picked up seven tenths of an inch of snow. Around 7 P.M., everything flips to freezing rain. Then plain rain overnight. Out in the Berkshires, you're sitting at 26 degrees. That's where ice accumulation gets serious. Cover those steps.
