There are too many tropes in this movie to keep track of: young, evil stepmothers, children with daddy issues, magic carpet rides. We may have a Disney remake on our hands.
This movie had potential, but very very quickly went downhill. We get another alien movie! What happens when American tourists get stuck in a foreign country during an alien invasion and no cell phone service?
When a curse is placed on a town attacked by a killer, phantom shark, the only logical thing to do is blame a group of teenagers! All we want to see at the end of this movie is for the residents to be able to shower again.
