The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a law enforcement agency of the federal government of the United States created during President George W. Bush administration in March of 2003 tasked to enforce immigration laws of the United States and to investigate criminal and terrorist activity of foreign nationals residing in the United States.[2] ICE has two primary components: Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).
