God's Firm Foundation - 2 Timothy 2:14-19 (Lost & Found)

KNOW: God’s people (elders and leaders in particular) must be able to handle the word of God accurately in order to safeguard the flock of Christ. Debating words and obscure ideas is nonsensical, but a solid foundation is mandatory. God has given us that foundation in Christ and his gospel. DO: Guard your faith in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yom Kippur - Leviticus 23:26-32 (Lost & Found)

KNOW: Sin must be atoned for. God made a way (temporary) to expiate the sins of his people. It required both the shedding of blood and the removal of sin from the camp. Both the Passover sacrifice and the works accomplished at Yom Kippur are fully and finally fulfilled in Jesus and his work on the cross. DO: Turn to Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.
