In this third and final chapter, we see Habakkuk have a heart change. His response to God's "hard pill to swallow" forecast of trials is initially pushed back upon, but eventually Habakkuk not only hears God's announcement, but also sees His heart and purpose behind it. He asks God to continue His work, but also to reveal to His people that it is He that is bringing about this discipline, so that His people would also know that it is God, and that His purpose is to bring them back to Him. When we have a "weather forecast," so to speak, we can be more prepared not to just go into trials, but to get through them.
