The love and anger of Christ are not in opposition to each other. In fact, His anger is fueled by His love. In the story where Jesus disrupts the activities He finds in the Temple, it is because of His zealous love and passion not only for His Father and His Father's House, but also for His people. Though Jesus doesn't today drive out our sin with a whip, He does give us the Holy Spirit to disciple us, sanctify us, reveal sin to us, and change us. He desires that we would not only SEE our sin, but have a righteous anger and hatred towards our sin.
