The father of the man found dead in Michael Barrymore's swimming pool 20 years ago has died following a battle with cancer without ever getting justice for his son.

Stuart Lubbock, 31, died at Barrymore's £2million mansion in Roydon, Essex, in March 2001. A post-mortem revealed he had suffered severe internal injuries which suggested he had been sexually assaulted.

No one has been charged in relation to the death, despite his father Terry, a retired toolmaker who lived in Harlow, mounting a decades-long campaign for justice.

Mr Lubbock senior, who earlier this year revealed he had been diagnosed with cancer and said he would 'die of a broken heart', has now passed away at the age of 76.
