On this episode of the Redrum Podcast, join Sara, Tracy, and Ethan as they discuss two well known horror-comedy films: Scream (1996) and Shaun of the Dead (2004) and how their usage of dark humor and satire in work to illustrate a bigger message to the audience. These two films, as well as many other horror-comedy type films use a particular mix of horror, satire, and comedic conventions in order carry their point across and comment on our contemporary lives. The different forms of comedy they focus on are teenage humor, inappropriate jokes, and dark humor.
