I was watching Darian Mensah film when I decided to also track Duke's running back. I knew Nate Sheppard was good going in — 1,100 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns, 5.7 yards per carry, and nearly 300 receiving yards as a true freshman. Watching the film, I was even more impressed. In this video, I break down exactly what makes the Duke running back so special: the way he stays so low and square to the line of scrimmage that defenders literally can't track him until he's already past them, the elite elusiveness and short-area quickness that lets him create yards when nothing is there, and the physicality that makes him a genuine north-south threat too when the lane opens up.
