NICKY AND BEAKY

The foreman and ship repairman on the dock thought that he was getting help for free. The little boy named Nicky was just hanging around and was excited to go on board, so he didn’t even want to get paid for working on the ship. But with the two of them working together, the ship’s problems became worse and worse with all the drilling, the sawing and the hammering. Poor Captain!
At first, Nicky was excited to see the parrot up close. It was so pretty to look at and it could talk too. Nicky never realized that a talking parrot could be so much trouble, until half of the town was already mad at him. He wished he never met the parrot at all. But, with a feast before his eyes, Nicky quickly changed his mind again.
Little Lucy was very lucky, but she didn’t know it. When she saw the four-leaf clover, at first she was excited. She thought that having good luck meant winning the lottery or being picked to be a famous star. She didn’t know that luck came in all shapes in sizes. If that four-leaf clover didn’t bring her good luck that day, Lucy would have been in so much trouble!
