Season 1
the debate, assassination attempt, and a talk about empathy
Explicit
KatieHD is back with a solidified posting schedule and a new season! KatieHD will now be every Friday at midnight per usual, but every 10 episodes, we will have a 3 week break before beginning the next season. This gives room for improving and creating content, and also preventing burnout. This episode is all about what is currently happening in the political sector and the lack of empathy we are seeing with current events.
see you July 19 besties
im on vacay!
life updates: selling our house, moving to tx, health scares, celeb crushes
Explicit
Logan is here yet again for another episode, and we're unpacking a lot of our current circumstances for you. We've had a lot of questions from friends, family, and internet besties asking what the heck we're doing with our lives. Consider this our "tell all" episode.
TW: a very critical analysis of christian church with logan
Explicit
trigger warning to anyone who is currently in the christian faith, this episode is nothing but talks about the anger and upset from things that i've witnessed and experienced as a former church goer and pastors daughter, along with Logan and I decoding and explaining what we currently believe. If you are passionate about God, Christian faith, and church-- sit this one out. Truthfully, this episode is not meant for you, but rather an episode that can hopefully help some folks heal from any religious trauma.
paroozing the AITAH subreddit with logan
Explicit
On this episode, we're performing my favorite podcast topic to listen to. The "am I the ***hole" subreddit is full of stories daily that are super entertaining to read, full of piping hot tea, and super fun to chime in on. Listen to Logan and I give our input to strangers who may or may not be major ***holes.
current events + cancelling the wrong people with logan
Explicit
we unpack a lot here. the current culture of instagram with bullying and canceling celebrities who choose not to speak on the Israel-Palestine conflict, the affect different platforms have had on us as a media consuming society, how TikTok enables people to feel entitled to everyones opinions, cancelling the wrong people when there are far more cancellable folks out there- nonetheless, we hope you enjoy. we also hope you can hear us out through the whole episode and not cancel us lol.
public education, the pledge of allegiance, and cults with shea
Explicit
my bestie shea pops into yap city this week for a visit, and the title truly encapsulates it all. we have a lot of controversial "cancellable" topics on the table in this episode. shea is a highly qualified teacher with a bachelors degree in Spanish education and a masters degree in school counseling. with all her knowledge applied, she doesn't hold back one bit.
the gifted child to anxious adult pipeline with dakota lyons
***TW: talks of suicidal ideation. this week, i'm joined by my husbands cousin dakota to discuss our experiences being "gifted children" and "world changers" and the impact that had on our future selves into adulthood. my perspective comes from musical talents and being a popular preachers kid with ADHD, and dakota's perspective as a formerly academically and artistically gifted child with BPD. thanks for joining our yap sesh this week (:
the postpartum marital shift *TW: GRAPHIC CHILDBIRTH*
Explicit
in this solo episode, I'm letting you into a very vulnerable part of my life. I go into great detail explaining the effect that my first childbirth experience placed on my marriage and my own self image. this episode is purposely meant to be graphic, honest, raw, and to offer some relatability to other moms who have been through, are going through, or will be experiencing postpartum.
