Take the Weight Off | Weight of the World, Part 1
Life can feel heavy. We carry the pressure of uncertain futures, difficult relationships, financial needs, painful experiences and responsibilities we were never meant to hold alone. In Part 1 of Weight of the World, Pastor Scott shares how Jesus invites us to take the weight off by shifting our focus, remembering God’s past faithfulness and trusting Him with our future. Through Matthew 6, we’re reminded that God sees us, values us and cares about everything weighing us down. You don’t have to carry the weight of tomorrow today. Fix your eyes on Jesus, cast your cares on Him and trust that He is already at work.
How To Discern Truth In An Age Of Noise
Every day, countless voices compete to shape what we think, believe and do. But how can we distinguish truth from misinformation and the voice of God from the noise around us? Through John 7:14–24, this message explores how Jesus teaches us to discern both the messenger and the message. We’ll learn why the source matters, how surrender affects our ability to recognize truth and why spiritual discernment requires more than judging by appearances. The goal isn’t to become more suspicious. It’s to become more familiar with the voice of the Good Shepherd. As we slow down, stay rooted in Scripture and remain surrendered to Jesus, we become better equipped to recognize what is true and reject what is counterfeit.
How to overcome temptation!
Temptation is inevitable, but it is resistible. You don’t have to give in just because temptation shows up. Through the story of Joseph in Genesis 39, we discover three responses that can help us overcome temptation: recognize it, refuse it, and run from it. We’ll talk about identifying our vulnerabilities, refusing to negotiate with sin, taking the way of escape God provides, and preparing ourselves through God’s Word and prayer. Joseph gives us an example to follow, but Jesus gives us a Savior to trust. Because of Him, we don’t have to fight temptation in our own strength, we can walk in the freedom He provides.
What Is My Purpose?
Why did God create you? Your purpose goes beyond simply experiencing God’s love and receiving salvation, God created you to be part of what He is doing in the world. In the final message of Made for More, Pastor Scott Baugh unpacks two purposes God has given every believer: growing God’s family and building His Kingdom on earth. You’ll discover why your spiritual gifts matter, why God placed you within the Church, and how your time, talents, generosity, and influence can make an eternal difference. You were created on purpose, gifted for a purpose, and placed exactly where God can use you.
How to Walk in the Power of the Holy Spirit
What role does the Holy Spirit play in helping us live in freedom and victory? Discover why we can sometimes have the Holy Spirit yet still feel powerless, what surrender has to do with experiencing His power, and how prayer, worship, and God’s Word help us live filled with the Holy Spirit. You weren’t meant to fight spiritual battles in your own strength. God has given you His Spirit so you can walk in the freedom, victory, and purpose He created you for.
Find Freedom | Made for More (Week 2)
Jesus didn’t come only to forgive your sins, He came to set you free from their power. In Week 2 of Made for More, we’re talking about what it means to truly find freedom. While following Jesus doesn’t mean we’ll never face temptation, struggle, or failure, it does mean sin no longer has to control us.God has given us practical habits, the power of the Holy Spirit, and something we often underestimate: the right relationships. Scripture reminds us that who we walk with matters. The right people can help lead us toward healing, wisdom, strength, and freedom, while the wrong relationships can pull us back into the very things God is trying to free us from.Whether you’re battling fear, anxiety, anger, unforgiveness, addiction, shame, unhealthy patterns, or another stronghold, there is hope. You were made for more than simply being forgiven, you were made to walk in the freedom and victory Jesus makes possible.
You Were Made to Know God | Made for More (Week 1)
What does it really mean to have a relationship with God? You weren’t created simply to follow religious rules or know about God, you were created to know Him personally. In Week 1 of Made for More, we unpack the first part of what we believe we were created for: to Experience God. Discover how salvation restores our relationship with God, why baptism is a public expression of that relationship, how we connect with God through prayer and Scripture, and how the Holy Spirit helps us experience His presence in our everyday lives. If you’ve ever wondered how to grow closer to God or move from simply knowing about Him to truly knowing Him, this message will encourage you to experience the relationship you were created for.
