Without the proper motivation, the best of positions soon became the reasons for pain and harm to humanity. Many have been given opportunities that they have later used as a weapon to against the very people who helped them climb into those seats. This has led many to wonder about what causes people to change once they ascend to places of power and influence. However, the most pressing question is, does power truly corrupt as we have been made to accept or power just reveals the true motivations of its possessor? In our quest for power and greatness, we must never forget to take frequent pauses to check the real motivations behind our pursuit. Otherwise, we will get to the peak of the mountain of greatness, only to find that we have lost the drive for service which first set us on the journey.
