Released in 2019, 'Godzilla: KOTM' had a good run at the box office; grossing $386.6 million, however, it didn’t get as much high praise from critics as its 2014 predecessor.

Though the film does have some extremely good highlights, with its terrific visual and special effects for the monster action, as well as gorgeous cinematography, the sequel for me was underwhelming with its story and characters – and at times felt like a bit of a rewrite of what we had seen before.
