That fog wrapping around your windshield? It's dense. Visibility down to a quarter mile or less across southern and eastern Iowa. Give yourself extra time this morning. The sun will burn it off by mid-morning.
In the next 24 hours. Right now you're sitting at 43 degrees. But this afternoon? You'll hit the upper 50s to low 60s statewide. Western Iowa peaks at 62. Central Iowa reaches 61. The Quad Cities and eastern areas top out around 57. That's 26 degrees to 26 degrees warmer than normal for early March.
Because tonight flips the script.
Thunderstorms roll in after midnight. We're talking a 90 percent chance of rain and storms between 1 and 5 A.M., sweeping west to east. Some could pack hail. Not the night to leave your car outside if you can help it.
