Imperfectly Perfect Weddings

by Brendan Creaser

Weddings can often be sold as the perfect day, where everything runs like clockwork and at the end of it you'll be on the cover of a magazine. In reality, wedding days are real. Things go wrong, timings are out and it rains. Imperfectly Perfect Weddings dives into the stories of when things don't go quite as they planned but the day is still perfect.

All in brawl at a wedding and a groom ends up in hospital with Michael Briggs - Episode 5

    Explicit

With somewhere between 400 and 500 weddings under his belt, Michael 'Briggsy' Briggs has created an amazing wedding photography business for himself. Hailing from the Yarra Valley in Victoria, he's a guy that oozes positive energy and fun, approaching a wedding day with a down to earth attitude and a focus on keeping it real. Briggsy told me it took him a while to photograph a wedding that had a 'disastrous' moment but in due time it came. We talk about an all in brawl, a groom in hospital and an epic Las Vegas elopement. With over 6 years of experience as a marriage celebrant, Beck had so many stories she wanted to tell me! We chose two absolute crackers, the first a story from absolute left field and not something you’d ever see on a wedding planning guide. The other involved all the moving parts of an epic story. A fight, a hospitals, white lies and some last minute changes. Beck creates extremely special and personal ceremonies with a constant cheer and smile on her face. She spends the time getting to know her couples in such a personal and intimate way that it’s as if your best friend was running the show.
