“Rebekah Wilson, aka Netochka Nezvanova, is pure fiction. For years, she named herself after a character in a Fyodor Dostoevsky novel, is a trained composer, haunts the internet, and becomes an icon in her own lifetime. Only in 2002 does she reappear as a physical person, becoming a curator at STEIM in Amsterdam. In her current rebirth phase as Rebekah Wilson, she is also finding her way back to her homeland of New Zealand, from where she left to become Netochka Nezvanova.” (Elisabeth Schimana)
