Back from their Christmas vacation, Shane & Tim ramble about various topics in international hockey this week. They discuss the World Juniors round robin and playoff bracket, as well as the very shocking poor attendance record for the tournament in Minnesota. The Canadian Olympic hockey roster is revealed, and the NHL stat leaders for 2025 are dominated by three players you'd expect to dominate the categories. Also, it snows in Miami? It must, right?
In this episode, the boys chat about the blockbuster trades that rocked the NHL recently, as well as the firing of a longtime general manager, a record-setting rookie goalie sensation, and the dynamic duo in Northern Alberta finally starting to do what the dynamic duo in Northern Alberta does best.
Tim and Shane discuss various new headlines around the hockey universe - from the Milan Olympics arena blunder to the new rookie sensation goalie in Minnesota. They also poke fun at the unusual amount of non hockey related injuries suffered throughout the NHL so far this season, and what (maybe, probably not) happened to cause these injuries.
