Jesus walks and talks with two distraught disciples who seem to have given up on the hope they had placed in Jesus. In our spiritual journeys, God can come to us in many ways that we do not recognize, at least initially. We also have the opportunity to walk with others during difficult times, perhaps even providing others the occasion to encounter Jesus afresh.
