Devon joined the U.S. Army Infantry in 2003, was deployed to Iraq 3 times, once to Afghanistan, and received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained from an IED. After leaving the service in 2015, Stewart started playing guitar while a patient at Walter Reed Medical Center.
