Season 1
#17 - New meaning of balance
Balance - everyone has heard about it being the solution for a happy and healthy life. But what is this mysterious balance truly about? Is it in doing a little bit of everything? Or, maybe, a lot of everything? Or choosing a few things and focusing on those? I´ve wondered that, too. But recently I looked at balance from a completely new perspective. Disclaimer! - this is strictly my own subjective experience and is not meant to become the ultimate guide for everyone to follow. But I hope you can take something out of my example. Enjoy :)
#16 - Anticipation
Did you know that ANTICIPATION used to be only referred to in the context of economics? Let´s think about how daydreaming can be beneficial for us, why it is good that we can´t read people´s minds and how anticipation and daydreaming are linked. This episode also features me realizing how I treated people unfairly as a result of daydreaming and unmet expectations and includes a little thank you for putting up with when this occurred. Enjoy the episode :) "Book of Human Emotions" on Amazon
#15 - Homesickness
HOMESICKNESS - who hasn´t heard this word before? But did you know that it can be considered an illness and that people died from it? Or that nostalgia used to have a completely different meaning from what we know it as today? "Emotions ABC" continued - join me for a dive into the feeling of homesickness, where I will read this and a couple of linked chapters and think about what Tiffany Watt Smith has to say about them :) "The Book of Human Emotions" on Amazon
#14 - Vengefulness
Have you ever heard of a feeling called "VENGEFULNESS"? Until today - me neither. I´m introducing a new series - "Emotions ABC", where I will use "The book of human emotion" by Tiffany Watt Smith to discover emotions I have never heard of, and - maybe - introduce you to some of them, too! Join me on my read through this chapter and follow my thoughts about this very controversial feeling, and more :)
#13 - University of Amsterdam Selection diaries
How is the admission test for University of Amsterdam (UvA) for BSc Psychology organised? What are the rules for admission? And how did it go for me? In this episode I shared some insights and my personal study experience in a form of a mini diary as well as the recent update. Enjoy :) Video about using Anki for studying
#12 - Languages and mistakes
Have you ever been corrected or made fun of when speaking foreign language? I shared my experience of learning German in Austrian school and my thoughts when people pointed out my mistakes. Why did it annoy me? And why does it not anymore? P.s. I didn´t mean that it´s always bad! Please, keep correcting me and laughing at how I pronounce things. Especially now that I know it´s actually a compliment :)
#11 - Self-isolation is a privilege
How is self-isolation a privilege? How can we even define privilege? Tune in to help me think about these and some other questions, including a few life updates and a teaser to an episode coming out soon :)
#10 - Being friends / getting back with an ex (ft. Charles)
Part two of me and Charles discussing relationships! On today´s agenda: Can you be friends with an ex? What about while being in a new relationship? Following that, can you get back with an ex? Even if it´s possible, is it going to be a good relationship?.. Join us for another session of "more questions than answers" - let´s think together :)
#9 - Unconditional love, flirting and crushes (ft. Charles)
Is there unconditional love? And between two romantic partners? What even is unconditional love? Can you flirt while being in a relationship? And what about having a crush on someone other than your partner? We asked ourselves those questions and sometimes even happened to agree with each other. It was often hard to define some of the terms that we discussed, so follow us in our discussion and let´s think together :)
#8 - Vienna City Marathon (ft. Alisa)
I took part in Vienna City Marathon 2025! My sister and I talked about our experiences of that Sunday - hers from the supporters side and mine from the runners side. Enjoy :)
