Episode #80: The Hiatus Is Over, Thanks to Isla Crown
Has it really been over a month since we uploaded an episode? yes. And do we want to talk about it? also yes, we give an abbreviated version of why we've been absent for so long! Extremely short version: we've had our heads down physically working or working on ourselves. But after such a long break, we bring you Lightlark! The book that got us both out of our reading slumps. This YA romantasy was just what we needed to get our asses back into gear. I think this is our first book with a love triangle and its easy to see we need to add more, asap, like my heart loves going back and forth on who I want to root for. The twists made this book and gave such a refreshing taste to classic tropes! Maddie is working her way through Tower of Dawn right now and we already have other eps lined up so the hiatuses are over for good y'all so we can all breathe a sigh of relief. It's good to be back. Episode #79: I'm about to pop a knot
Ali Hazelwood, the woman that you are!!!!! And the woman that you are is an author who's every book I will eat up expeditiously because her small woman, large man who's crazy for her first books are a comfort that I always need. This introduction to the omegaverse was eye opening for Maddie and I and while we might not fully understand everything quite yet, I low key understand how Misery fell asleep with that man in her. We loved Misery & Lo's story and we can't wait for her next book in this universe! Y'all know Maddie loves a near death experience and we knew Tori would love the whole sucking on his neck and drinking Lo's blood till there's a crazy orgasm, what can we say, we're just girls who know what we like.
