Often considered an underdog compared to the juggernaut PlayStation 2 and new kid on the block, Xbox, the Nintendo Gamecube struggled commercially due to some baffling PR decisions, but it remains a beloved console in the hearts of the people who got to experience it.

Today, we’re going to crack open the world’s first portable console open and bite into the commercial flop and public hero that is the Nintendo Gamecube.
