A massive explosion has collapsed part of the bridge that separates the two islands of Ithrodel. Maven, Haun, and the other students are suddenly stranded on the other side of the bridge, and are forced to try to make it back to the their home side of the bridge, or make it safely to the new, unknown, part of the island.
