What does it truly mean to be a witness?

In the New Testament, the word martys—which simply meant witness—evolved into something far deeper. It became synonymous with martyr—someone so committed to Jesus that they would rather die than deny Him.

This wasn’t a linguistic accident.

It revealed the heartbeat of the early Church: radical, uncompromising devotion to Christ, no matter the cost.
