God's offer of Grace; are we going our own way; grace provides a remedy, a cleansing, satisfaction of God's justice, cancels a debt we cannot pay. It can't be earned by our merits anymore than it can be forfeited by our demerits. To the extent that you are clinging to any vestige of self-righteousness, to that degree you are not living by the Grace of God in your life.
