Session 190, September 21, 1965: The Night Seth Woke the Neighbors
This unscheduled session is a wild ride involving a guest, some accidental "spirit" comedy, and a very confused set of neighbors.
The Ultimate "Live" Performance
- The evening kicked off with Jane Roberts and Robert Butts hanging out with their friend, John Bradley. They were listening to a tape of a previous session (the 170th) to show off Seth’s booming voice.
- In a move that’s both chilling and hilarious, the real Seth decided he didn't want to be upstaged by a recording. He hijacked the moment, with Jane switching off the recorder mid-sentence.
- Seth’s opening line was pure gold: “Why settle for a recording when you can have the real thing?”
