This passage is when the Israelites were finally going into the Promised Land - they faced many obstacles: giants, huge fortresses, a flooded river - how were they to go in?
God’s heart is that each one of us is able to enter fully into all that God has for us - but we also face many challenges in life - some that, like the giants and fortresses, seem too big for us.
The Israelites were to carefully follow the presence of God, carried by the priest - “because they had never been this way before” (Vs 4) As we grow and mature in our Christian walk - we are always traveling a pathway that is new for us - different than what we have done in the past - how do we stay on the right path?
