In graphic language Revelation 17 describes this world under the influence of Satan. Sin, in God's sight, is as horrible and vile as the pictures described in this chapter. Ultimately, the world (Babylon) is at war with the Church (Jerusalem), and even sheds the blood of Christ's people. But Christ (the Lamb) will triumph over the world.
