"The" Glenlivet: Illicit Still

In this weeks episode the guys decided to bring out a new limited edition bottle from the Speyside region of Scotland. The Glenlivet: Illicit Still. This release is new for the year 2021 and offers a very interesting tasting note from this famous distillery at a little higher ABV then most of their normal expression line. Check it out!! Cheers! Back to Bourbon - Henry McKenna

Whistory With Mr. Edwards

In this week’s episode of The DBS Tasting Room, Donny and Shaun are joined by a founding member of the DBS, Charles. The idea to start this whiskey group was first presented to Charles after visiting an honorary member, R.I.P. Mr. Chris Binnie. Chris had taken Charles on a few distillery tours, and he instantly fell in love with the culture. This love for whiskey was shared with a few other founding members including Ali Shaun and Randall, and the rest is history. Two different expressions are sampled here, both of which come from distilleries that Charles had visited during that same trip: The Glenkinchie 12 Yr and The Dailuaine 16 Yr Flora and Fauna. Cheers! Mac is Back

In this week’s episode Donny and Shaun will be visiting one of the most iconic Speyside distilleries in Scotland; The Macallan. This famous distillery has been a staple for blended and Single Malt Whiskey production for almost 200 years. They produce a classic flavor profile that is easily recognizable by many from around the world. The 18 year whiskey being sampled here is a mainstay in their expression line and a wonderful addition to the DBS Reserve Bar!! Cheers! Slainte Mhath! Drink Responsibly!

DBS Lab (Scotch Blends)

In this special edition of the DBS Tasting Room we will be joined by another Dram Bell Society Founder; Randall. Watch us attempt at creating our very own DBS Blended Scotch whiskey using 5 different expressions from all 5 regions in Scotland... Let's just say this, we were all very suprised with the results!!! The following whiskey's were used in the blending process: Glenmorangie LaSanta 12 Year (Highlands), Laphroig Quarter Cask (Islay), The Glenlivet 12 Double Oak (Speyside), Glen Scotia Double wood (Campbeltown), and a Gkenkinchie 12 Year (Lowlands).

Touring Tomatin

In this weeks episode, Donny and Shaun will be reviewing another Highlands distillery from Scotland, Tomatin est. in 1897. The 18 year expression that is being explored here is in Tomatin's mid range line and offers sweet notes of fruit and vanilla. Cheers!

Diving Into Dalmore

In this weeks episode, Donny and Shaun will explore one of the classic Highland distilleries in Scotland, The Dalmore. This famous distillery has been putting out a quality product for almost 200 years and they do NOT disappoint. The 12 year featured here is their entry level scotch expression, and a great buy for anyone who is intrigued by the Highland region's flavor profile.

Aberlour Distillery Edition

In this episode, Donny and I will be reviewing two expressions from one of our all time favorite distilleries in Scotland, Aberlour. This Speyside distillery has got a ton of expressions available in the US and quite a few rare and harder to find bottles available directly from the source. Check it out!
