BUT in all seriousness (for once) : For clarity — this episode is not advocating for pure socialism or pure capitalism. It is simply comparing how different cities / nations structure public foundations versus private upside, and how history + culture shape why certain things work in one place and not another. Both systems have strengths and both have failure modes - it’s about how both can function as tools depending on what domain they’re used in. Public “floor” systems can protect stability, while private “ladder” systems can drive innovation and upside. Both can fail if taken to extremes.
