Dr. Dave Dixon is an associate professor and interim department chair at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy in Richmond, Virginia. He is also co-director of the School’s Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation which aims to be a leader in transforming ambulatory and community pharmacy practice and advancing pharmacists’ roles on patient-centered, collaborative care teams. His clinical background is in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy and ambulatory care pharmacy practice. His research interests include team-based care for managing cardiovascular risk factors, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. Dr. Dixon is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the National Lipid Association, and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
