1. Why did the Lord command the blood of the Passover lamb be sprinkled around the door? What did this symbolize? 2. Why did God's wrath fall on all the Egyptians in this manner? Why did He spare the Israelites? 3. What might have happened if an Egyptian family had joined the Passover feast and sprinkled their doorposts with the lambs blood? What do you think would have happened if an Israelite family had not sprinkled their door with the blood? 4. Are you living with an expectancy of Christ's imminent return? How can you keep that expectation in mind?

Review Questions: 1. In what ways did God show His mercy and grace in the midst of His judgements? What does this reveal about His character? 2. Why did God select these specific plagues? What does it reveal about Him and what does it reveal about the Egyptians and their gods? 3. Pharaoh confessed that he had sinned, yet the Lord sent further plagues. Why? What does it indicate about the sincerity of Pharaoh's sorrow? 4. What does it mean to "harden your heart" against God? Give practical examples. Why is this dangerous? 5. Have you hardened your heart toward God? Have you repented of your sins or have you simply tried to avoid suffering?

Review Questions: 1. If you had been in Moses' position, how would you have responded to God's command? 2. What were Moses' fears and concerns? How did the Lord answer those issues? 3. Read Hebrews 11:23-29. What was Moses giving up by obeying God's command? What did Moses gain? 4. When did Moses' question go from legitimate concerns to stubbornness? How can we distinguish between the two in our own hearts? 5. Is the Lord currently calling you ti some difficult act of obedience? Are you making excuses or moving forward?
