In this episode, Dr Sithembile Mbete joins us to speak about populism in the era of democratic decline.

Sithembile is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political Sciences at the University of Pretoria where she teaches international relations and South African politics and an Associate Fellow of the Centre for Governance Innovation. She is also a visiting researcher at the African Leadership Centre at King’s College London. She has a DPhil in International Relations from the University of Pretoria. She completed her undergraduate, honours and masters degrees at the University of Cape Town.
