Jesus uses three powerful analogies - salt, light, and a city on a hill - to teach how Christians should impact the world. As salt, believers are called to bring positive change, preserve goodness, and add spiritual flavor to society. As light, they must live visibly distinctive lives that illuminate darkness and point others to Jesus. This calling involves investing in relationships with non-believers, participating in Christian community, and living distinctively in everyday situations. The goal is not just to be different, but to make a difference by connecting others with Jesus.
