Step outside and you'll feel it. That crisp 25 degrees under clear skies is the cold footprint of high pressure parked directly over us. It's quiet now. but enjoy the stillness. Because a warm front is gathering strength to our south.
In the next 24 hours. Tonight, that high slips offshore. Skies stay mostly clear. Lows drop to around 20 along the coast. Central Connecticut gets colder at 15 degrees. Eastern areas bottom out near 17.
Tuesday tells a different story. That warm front lifts north. Precipitation arrives mid-morning, falling into cold air trapped at the surface. The result? A wintry mix.
