🏠 They bought furniture for their new house before they actually owned the house.
Sounds harmless, right?
They were under contract, the inspection and appraisal were finished, and the mortgage was moving forward.
So they financed a couch, dining set, television and other furniture.
Then the lender saw the new credit account. 😳
That new debt had to be considered when calculating their finances—and suddenly their mortgage approval wasn’t quite as comfortable as it had been.
Fortunately, we got everyone involved quickly and they still made it to closing. 🔑
