Introduction Session
In Psalm 51, after David committed great sins of adultery and murder, he pleads with God, "Create in me a clean heart, O God." That is what Clean Heart is all about. This is not, "10 steps to stop watching porn". Clean Heart is based out of God's Word- the Bible. It is a rule of life and framework to become satisfied with Jesus instead of porn. This is a gathering of redeemed men following their King into battle. This is lust being overcome by superior affection for Christ. Only in Christ is freedom from sexual sin found. To achieve this, it is not self-control alone. Instead, it is being overwhelmed by the joy and beauty of King Jesus and being rooted in the Gospel. A clean heart is cultivated by Holy Spirit-empowered practices, within brotherhood and prayer. The framework of Clean Heart's foundation is first and foremost a deep connection with Jesus and His gospel. From and within this foundation are pillars of truth that the men of this group should repeat constantly and live inside simultaneously. O, God, create in us clean hearts!
