Amanda Black, Director of the Literacy Center, speaks to Julie about the importance of english literacy, its relationship to quality of life standards and the work of the Literacy Center. The mission of the Literacy Center is to provide literacy services to adults, teens, children and families; to increase basic english literacy skills in order to improve the quality of personal, economic and community life for all.
