Caroline Byrd is a quiet legend more people should know. A true pioneer in the mountaineering world of the late ’80s and ’90s, Caroline has climbed across the globe. She was the first woman to summit Denali via the Northwest Buttress Route and a member of the first American all-women’s expedition to attempt an 8,000-meter peak without supplemental oxygen or Sherpa support. Beyond the mountains, Caroline is also a lawyer and conservation advocate.
