Prof. Stephen Kane is a Professor of Planetary Astrophysics in the Departments of Earth and Planetary Sciences and Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Riverside. His research interests lie in planetary habitability, astrobiology, exoplanets, and planetary science. He is the Director of the Planetary Research Laboratory. Kane grew up in the Australian outback viewing a night sky that left an imprint on him so much so that his interest in astronomy led him to his future career. After attending the University of Tasmania and obtaining his PHD, Kane attended his postdoctoral at the University of St. Andrews and also, the University of Florida. After graduating, the NASA Exoplanet Science Institute beckoned he became a research scientist. He also held the position of professor at San Francisco State University.Websites ...
