On this episode we smoke the Pledge from E. P. Carrillo, fresh from two and a half years of proper aging in Nick the Brick's collection. This 5x50 stick is made in the Dominican Republic by Carrillo, and sports a Habano Connecticut. Maduro wrapper draped over Ecuadorian binder and Nicaraguan long-filler leaves. Ranked the 2020 Cigar of the Year with an all-time highest score of 98 by Cigar Aficionado, the Pledge is a bold and dynamic smoke that pairs well with espresso - which we take advantage of. We invite Francis on the show to brew us espresso and americano of several types of local, gourmet beans while explaining to us some of how coffee is prepared and enjoyed.
