This week Deklan tells us about several unsolved murders from 1946. In a region known as Texarkana 4 people were killed and others were injured. Some of the scenes were staged but no suspects were ever arrested and the cases have never been solved. Jane tells us about an ancient city in the current area of Pakistan. Once a thriving city, Monhenjo daro, had homes and buildings as well as plumbing set ups. Researchers are unclear about why the city was abandoned but the bigger question is why have some objects in the city been altered by extremely high temperatures. This week Jane tells us about confessed double murderer, Colin Howell. He killed his wife and the husband of his mistress. He got away with the murder for almost 20 years. After having a few bad mishaps in his life he felt like God was punishing him so he confessed to the murders. Deklan tells us about an ancient mummy found in the Ötztal Alps. He is commonly referred to as Ötzi the Iceman. It is believed that he lived over 5000 years ago. The finding wasn’t the strange part. This week Deklan tells us about a grisly unsolved murder from 1981. The case is unsolved with very few suspects. The Sharp family and friends lost 4 people that night for unknown reasons. Although some DNA evidence has been discovered, the perpetrator or perpetrators have not been identified. Jane tells us about another unsolved missing person featured in the books Missing 411. Tom Messick was on a hunting trip with family and friends when he mysteriously disappeared in 2015. After nearly 9 years and through multiple searches, no sign of Tom has ever been located. This week Jane tells us about the serial killer known as “The Torso Killer” or “Times Square Ripper.” His real name was Richard Cottingham and he committed several murders in New York and New Jersey. He was caught in 1980 but denied responsibility until 2009. In the early 2000s he started being interviewed by an investigator who was able to link him to at least 14 other cold case murders dating back to the 1960s. Deklan tells us about two brothers who dug up some strange carved artifacts in their backyard. Two strange looking stone heads were discovered by the Robson brothers and brought into their home. Strange things started happening to the family and their neighbors. The heads were given to various scientists for research purposes and they started reporting strange things too.
