Google Cloud and Liberty Global sign 5-year AI deal to roll out Gemini across European cable and mobile operations

What happened

Google Cloud and Liberty Global agreed a 5-year strategic partnership to deploy Gemini AI models plus cloud tools across Liberty Global’s European footprint.

Focus areas include AI-powered TV search and discovery, automated customer support, stronger network reliability and security, and more autonomous network operations.

They also plan to push more Google devices (Pixel phones, watches, smart home) through Liberty Global’s operating companies, and jointly target small businesses with cloud, AI, and cybersecurity services.
