Summary: Belgic Confession article 21 begins with areference to Christ being a High Priest “after the order ofMelchizedek.” Jesus is our High Priest. With His ascension ourLord Jesus took His rightful place at the right hand of theFather in Heaven. The Father gave all power to Him. Allpower in heaven and earth, King of Kings was given to Him.Through Him the Father governs now, and His place is at theright hand of his Father. Humiliated as a man, then crucified,buried, but above all victorious over the grave and deathand the Risen Christ is now seated at the right hand of HisFather where He reigns.
