Warning Against Worldliness

Bible Readings: James 5:1-6; Revelation 3:14-22

Summary: James is teaching and giving valuable advice on

how to live in a world that is amassing riches. It can be so easy

to desire the riches of this world. The more precious gift is

salvation through Jesus Christ, which is more desired than

gold and possessions. Gold and possessions can’t buy

happiness, joy, and peace. It can’t buy forgiveness, and it

cannot fill the hole in your heart.
