Do Not Put Your Trust In Princes

Bible Reading: Ezekiel 29:1-16 & Psalm 146:3-4

Summary: Ezekiel 29 begins a four-chapter series of

prophecies against Egypt. This was necessary because even

though Egypt held Israel in slavery for 400 years, Israel also

had an impulse to look to Egypt for help in times of crisis.

Can Egypt or governments save us?

In Psalm 146, the psalmist praised the Lord for His good

deeds. He wants to praise the Lord all His life. In the Lord

alone he can trust and not in people, because even the

mightiest government is part of this mortal world, who

cannot safe.
