Alejandra Guajardo was crowned Miss El Salvador at the national beauty pageant in 2022. El Salvador consists of 14 departments and Alejandra represented the department of Cabañas in the north central part of the country.

Upon winning the national beauty pageant, Alejandra represented El Salvador at the Miss Universe competition which occurred in New Orleans later that year. In 2024 she went on to compete and win the Miss Charm El Salvador pageant, and went on to compete in the worldwide Miss Charm pageant in 2024.
