The apostle Paul's affection for the churches he established reveals his true heart as an apostle. In his letters to these churches, Paul expressed his deep love and concern for them. As their spiritual father, he considered them his own children and kept them in his thoughts by regularly praying for them. In the book of Philippians, Paul wrote, "Every time I remember you, I thank my God. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy" (Philippians 1:3-4). He also affirmed that "God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:8).
